Armour Home Electronics Ltd Appoints Paul Hilditch as New Director of New Product Development

Hertfordshire, UK. Armour Home Electronics Ltd., the UK‑based manufacturer and distributor of award‑winning audio brands, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Hilditch as the new Director of New Product Development. Paul will be responsible for leading innovation and implementing product strategy across Armour Home’s core audio brands: Q Acoustics, QED, and Goldring.

Paul succeeds Mark Collingwood, who retired last month after a near two‑decade tenure with Armour Home, during which he played a pivotal role in the company's sustained growth and reputation for excellence in audio product design and engineering.

Paul, who has a degree in physics from University College London, brings three decades of experience in the audio industry, having joined Armour Home in 2002 from renowned retailer Grahams Hi‑Fi. Throughout his 22 years at Armour Home, Paul has held multiple key roles within the product development team, contributing significantly to the launch of award‑winning products and the evolution of the company’s audio portfolio.

His deep understanding of consumer needs, combined with his technical expertise and passion for high‑fidelity sound, make him ideally suited to drive the next phase of innovation. As Director of New Product Development, Paul now leads Armour’s highly skilled R&D team as they continue to develop cutting‑edge products that push the boundaries of sound performance, design, value and user experience.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be appointed Director of New Product Development,” says Paul. “Having been part of the Armour family for more than 20 years, I’m thrilled to take on this new challenge and work with such a talented team. We have a number of exciting projects in development across Q Acoustics, QED and Goldring, and I look forward to bringing innovative new products to market that continue to inspire music and audio enthusiasts around the world.”

Q Acoustics is globally recognised for its award‑winning loudspeakers, setting new standards across every category—from entry‑level to high‑end, stereo to home cinema, and wireless to easy install.

QED has been at the forefront of audio innovation for more than 50 years, leading the way in high‑performance AV and digital cables and accessories.

Goldring, with a heritage spanning more than 100 years, is renowned for its expertly crafted phono cartridges and turntables, delivering exceptional design and sound.

The appointment marks a new chapter for Armour Home Electronics as it builds on its legacy of innovation and continues to expand its global presence in the audio sector.
