Systemline, Europe’s leading manufacturer of installed music systems, has optimised the functionality of its innovative built-in music system to integrate with the new Amazon Echo Dot, the hands-free system you control with your voice. Consumers will now be able use voice commands via the Echo Dot to further enhance their E50 experience.

Systemline unveiled this functionality during a recent trade show attended by professional electricians and installers. The team conducted a series of live demonstrations to illustrate how this integration adds a new dimension to how consumers can enjoy music within their homes. Supporting both wired and wireless connectivity, consumers can now simply connect E50 to an Amazon Echo Dot, which is powered by the company's Alexa far-field voice control. This will allow the user to issue voice commands such as “Alexa, play folk music from Spotify”, “Alexa, play BBC Radio 4 from TuneIn”, “Alexa, skip track” or “Alexa increase volume”.

Launched earlier this year, E50 has been designed to meet the increasing consumer demand for high quality built-in music systems at an affordable price, enabling professional electricians and electrical installers to add value to any installation.

The solution retails at just £275.00 (inc VAT) and features a stylish combined touch sensitive control panel, Bluetooth audio receiver and amplifier that simply fits within a standard 45mm deep UK double gang back box. The system comes complete with a pair of high performance 6.5” ceiling mounted speakers manufactured by the industry-leading Q Acoustics, as well as all cables and mounting back box. E50 incorporates both front and rear auxiliary input sockets, allowing homeowners to connect television sound or other external music devices. Since being unveiled, the product has earned plaudits for it affordability, as well as the ease in which it can be installed in any home, enriching any open plan living space, kitchen or bedroom. E50 already features an innovative contactless gesture control that allows consumers to adjust the volume, mute and skips tracks without touching the device, which is perfect for consumers who like to listen to music when preparing food.

Paul Hilditch, Brand Manager at Systemline, said: “The Systemline team has put considerable effort into optimising the connectivity of E50 to ensure that it integrates well with the new wave of exciting products like Amazon Echo Dot or Google’s Chromecast Audio. E50 is a highly sophisticated product that adds ‘the wow factor’ to any home.

“Easy to install, the E50 does not require any configuration or product specific training. Therefore it is the perfect audio solution for professional electricians and installers who are looking to increase their portfolio of solutions that they can sell when working on new or existing projects. The reaction from the show has been universally positive and we have already seen an increase in orders.”
