Grado Upgrades Its Legendary SR60 Headphones after 15 years

Grado, the renowned manufacturer of award winning headphones and turntable cartridges, is pleased to announce the introduction of an improved version of its top-selling SR60 headphone.

Designated the SR60i, it replaces the original SR60 and is the first upgrade to this supremely successful model since it was introduced in 1994.

Grado is exclusively distributed in the UK by Armour Home. Tony Jones, their Category Manager responsible for Grado stated:

"The new SR60i has an upgraded driver design and Grado has also enlarged and improved the mass distribution in the plastic housing. The way the SR60i's new driver and plastic housing move air, and also react to sonic vibrations, is now less affected by transient distortions. The new SR60i delivers improved control of both upper and lower frequencies, which results in both ends of the frequency spectrum better supporting Grado's world renowned midrange. Naturally, the SR60i produces a sound that is pure Grado; warm harmonic colour, rich full bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and an ultra smooth top end.'

The new Grado SR60i has a recommended retail price of £99.90 including VAT and is available now from authorised dealers throughout the UK.

Specifications:

  • Transducer type: Dynamic

  • Operating principle: Open air

  • Frequency response: 20Hz - 20kHz

  • SPL 1mV: 98db

  • Normal impedance: 32 Ohms

  • Driver matching (db) 0.1
