Three Peaks Challenge

The task: To climb the highest peaks in Wales, England and Scotland in less than 24 hours and to raise as much money as we can for a very good cause.

As we will be crossing the borders between England, Wales and Scotland we have chosen Doctors without Borders, more commonly known as Medecins sans Frontieres, the international medical and humanitarian aid organisation, which has been so active in Haiti and other recent disaster areas. www.msf.org.uk.

We will be doing the route from south to north, setting off in people-carriers from Bishops Stortford on Friday 4th June at 6am and driving to Mount Snowdon, ready to start the Challenge at 10:30am.

After Snowdon we travel on and climb Scafell Pike, getting down just after 10pm and driving over-night to Ben Nevis, ready to begin climbing at 5:00am on Saturday morning. This gives us the opportunity to complete the third and highest peak in the UK by 10:00am, less than 24 hours later. Over a dozen intrepid souls from Armour Home are aiming to complete the Challenge and would welcome your sponsorship.

What is MSF?

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent international medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid in more than 60 countries to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters or exclusion from healthcare. MSF was awarded the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize.

What Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) does

MSF’s core work is providing medical aid in crisis situations - armed conflicts, epidemics, famines and natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes. All these situations call for a rapid response with specialised medical and logistical help.
